These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Orene (“Orene”, “we”, “us” or “our”) governing your download, access, purchase, and use of the Orene iOS application and related services (together, the “Service”). By downloading, creating an account, starting a trial, purchasing a membership, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not download, purchase, or use Orene. If you use Orene for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes it.

You must be at least 13 and old enough to enter a binding agreement in your country. If you are not legally an adult, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and supervise your use. Orene is not intended for a person prohibited from receiving the Service under applicable law.

Orene is a portrait-oriented photo editing and camera application for compatible iPhones. It provides curated Looks, filters, lighting, adjustments, effects, retouching, crop, backdrop treatment, live graded photography and video, local projects, and export tools. Features may vary by version, device capability, region, membership status, and product configuration.

Photo and video processing is performed on your device. Some functions require internet access, including initial sign-in, current membership validation, purchase restoration, and downloading public catalogue or effect assets. Orene may temporarily honor a recently verified entitlement while a network check is unavailable, but offline access is limited and is not a promise of indefinite use without verification.

Orene is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms and your active membership where required, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the app on Apple-branded products you own or control as permitted by Apple’s Usage Rules, including use through permitted Family Sharing or volume-purchase arrangements.

Orene requires Sign in with Apple and does not offer a separate Orene password. You are responsible for keeping your Apple Account and device secure, restricting access to your device, and promptly notifying us if you believe your Orene account has been accessed without permission.

You agree to provide accurate information, keep any editable profile detail current, and not impersonate another person or create an account for abuse, fraud, or circumvention of membership limits. Apple may permit you to hide your email using a relay address; that choice does not reduce your rights or access to Orene.

Logging out clears Orene’s local session and local app state as described in the app, but it does not cancel an Apple subscription, revoke a purchase, or necessarily delete the limited server account. Account deletion and subscription cancellation are separate actions. For account deletion, follow the deletion option made available in the Service or contact support@orene.me.

Membership options

Orene offers auto-renewable weekly and annual memberships. Available plans, local price, currency, taxes, billing period, trial eligibility, and the features included are displayed in the app before you confirm a purchase. The terms shown in Apple’s purchase sheet at confirmation control if they differ from a general description on this page.

Three-day trial

Where offered and where Apple determines you are eligible, a membership may begin with a three-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, Apple will charge your Apple Account for the selected membership and it will automatically renew. Trial availability can be limited to new or otherwise eligible subscribers and may not be restored after use.

Automatic renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. A paid membership automatically renews for the same billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the period. Apple manages payment, taxes, billing credentials, renewal, and price-consent notices.

Manage, cancel, or restore

You can manage or cancel in iOS Settings under your Apple Account’s Subscriptions section or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current paid period unless Apple states otherwise; deleting Orene or closing an Orene account does not cancel billing. Use Restore Purchases in Orene to ask Apple and RevenueCat to re-check an eligible purchase.

Orene may change available plans or prices. Any price change to an existing auto-renewable subscription is handled with the notice or consent Apple requires. We will not charge you outside Apple’s purchase confirmation process.

Cancelling stops future renewal; it does not automatically reverse a charge already processed. Because Apple is the merchant and payment processor for Orene memberships, refund requests must be submitted to Apple. Apple determines eligibility and sends approved funds to the original payment method under its terms and applicable consumer law.

Orene’s support policy is to assist with a refund request made within 14 days of purchase when a verified technical problem materially prevented you from using the paid Service and our support team could not resolve it within the communicated support period. This does not promise that Apple will approve a refund and does not restrict any non-waivable right you have under local law.

Read the complete Refund Policy before requesting assistance. You can submit a request directly through reportaproblem.apple.com. Except where required by law or approved by Apple, unused time, partial periods, accidental renewals, and changes of mind are not automatically refundable.

As between you and Orene, you retain your rights in photographs, videos, projects, and other material you create or choose in the app (“Your Content”). Orene does not require a license to host Your Content because the app processes and stores it locally and does not upload it to Orene’s servers.

You authorize the app to make the local copies and transformations needed to provide an edit, preview, save, capture, or export that you request. If you voluntarily send a file to support, you grant Orene a limited license to receive, copy, inspect, and use that file only to investigate and answer your request, protect the Service, or meet a legal obligation. Do not send sensitive media unless support confirms it is necessary.

You are responsible for Your Content and must have the rights and permissions needed to capture, edit, save, and share it. You may not use Orene to violate privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights, or to create or distribute unlawful material. Orene does not review local projects and is not responsible for how you publish or use an export.

You may not, and may not help another person to:

• copy, distribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or its proprietary assets except as these Terms expressly allow;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, derive source code from, or create derivative works of Orene, except to the limited extent a restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• bypass a paywall, forge an entitlement or receipt, interfere with purchase validation, or obtain paid access without authorization;
• probe, disrupt, overload, or compromise Orene’s accounts, catalogue, infrastructure, security, or service providers;
• introduce malicious code, automate abusive requests, scrape protected assets, or use the Service to develop or benchmark a competing product in violation of law;
• remove or alter copyright, trademark, attribution, or proprietary notices; or
• use Orene, support, or another person’s account for unlawful, deceptive, infringing, threatening, or abusive activity.

Reasonable security research performed lawfully and reported privately to us is not intended to be prohibited, provided it avoids privacy violations, service disruption, data destruction, and public disclosure before we have had a reasonable opportunity to respond.

Orene and its licensors own the Service and its software, interfaces, designs, text, Looks, LUTs, effect assets, camera profiles, names, logos, trademarks, compilation, and other protected material, excluding Your Content and third-party material. These Terms grant only the limited right to use Orene; no ownership right is transferred to you.

Feedback is voluntary. If you send an idea, suggestion, or feature request, you permit Orene to use it without restriction or payment, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission. This does not give Orene any right to photographs or projects that you send only for support.

Third-party names, film references, and platform marks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance, where lawful, does not imply sponsorship or endorsement unless expressly stated.

Orene relies on Apple for iOS, Sign in with Apple, the App Store, Photos, camera and media frameworks, and In-App Purchase; Supabase for account and catalogue infrastructure; and RevenueCat for entitlement management. Your use of their services may be governed by their terms and privacy policies. You agree to comply with applicable third-party terms when using Orene.

We work to keep Orene useful and available, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Device hardware, storage, battery, permissions, operating-system changes, network access, Apple services, maintenance, security incidents, or provider outages may affect functionality. You are responsible for compatible hardware, current software, connectivity, data charges, and enough storage to process and export media.

We may add, improve, limit, or retire features; change system requirements; issue security or compatibility updates; or discontinue the Service. When reasonably possible, we will give notice of a material discontinuation. You may need to install an update to continue using Orene safely or with a newer iOS version.

You may stop using Orene at any time. You may request deletion of your Orene account through a deletion option provided in the Service or by contacting support. You must separately cancel an active Apple subscription if you do not want it to renew. Account deletion does not entitle you to a refund and does not override Apple’s billing records or legal retention requirements.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you materially breached these Terms, used the Service fraudulently or unlawfully, created a security risk, failed to pay through Apple, or if suspension is required by law or a platform provider. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue.

When access ends, the license in these Terms ends and paid features may no longer be available. Provisions that by their nature should continue—such as ownership, payment obligations already incurred, disclaimers, limitations, dispute terms, and Apple’s rights—survive termination.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, remedy, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. If consumer law in your country gives you mandatory rights, those rights continue to apply.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Orene disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing. We do not warrant that every edit will meet a creative expectation, that the app will be compatible with every device or future iOS release, or that local files can be recovered after deletion, device failure, or loss.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orene and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, or data; or the cost of substitute services, arising from Orene or these Terms, even if advised that the loss was possible.

Where law allows a monetary cap, Orene’s total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Orene during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) USD $50, converted to local currency. This cap does not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or another liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

The following provisions apply to your use of the iOS app and are intended to satisfy terms applicable to apps distributed through Apple:

• These Terms are between you and Orene, not Apple. Orene, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content.
• Your license is limited to a non-transferable license to use Orene on Apple-branded products you own or control and as permitted by Apple’s Usage Rules, subject to permitted family or volume sharing.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for Orene. Contact Orene at support@orene.me.
• If Orene fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by its terms. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Orene. Orene is responsible for other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty.
• Orene, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including product-liability claims, legal or regulatory nonconformity, and claims under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar law.
• If a third party claims that Orene or your use infringes intellectual property, Orene, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of the claim to the extent required by these Terms and applicable law.
• You represent that you are not in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and are not on a United States government prohibited or restricted parties list.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. When you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce the Apple-specific provisions against you.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Orene provider, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except that mandatory consumer protections and rights available in your place of residence remain unaffected. A court with lawful jurisdiction may resolve a dispute that we cannot resolve informally.

Before filing a claim, please email a description of the issue and the relief requested so both sides can try in good faith to resolve it. This informal step does not prevent either side from seeking urgent injunctive relief and does not shorten a statutory deadline.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions will continue. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, or sale of the Service. Headings are for convenience only. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, purchase terms shown by Apple, and any plan-specific terms, are the entire agreement about Orene.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in Orene, the App Store, providers, or law. The effective date identifies the current version. If a change materially reduces your rights during an active paid period, we will provide reasonable advance notice where required. Continuing to use Orene after updated Terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel renewal before the next billing date.
